Our Top 5 Outdoor Photo Spots on the Hilltop

Photos as a married couple

Your wedding is one of the most significant days in your life. Not only will you have the everlasting memories to cherish, but also an entire gallery of special wedding photos to treasure forever. Sometimes the best photos can be ones taken off guard without even knowing that the photographer was there. However, taking the time to take couple shots, just the two of you is important. After all, this is your day; it’s all about you!

As soon as you turn into Hilltop’s drive, you are struck with lots of photo opportunities. Choosing Hilltop Country House for your special day, you will never be stuck for stunning backdrops – wherever you may be on Hilltop’s grounds and no matter what the weather! In no particular order, here are our top 5 photo spots on the Hilltop…

The Drive

It’s only right that we start with our drive, as the first area that you see on your very first visit to Hilltop. Tree-lined, with seasonal flowers that surround each side of the drive. Rustic benches dotted throughout, with a mixture of green lawns, stoned paths and wooden steps and gates. All with views overlooking the neighbouring fields, which may just be home to adorable sheep and lambs or cows. When shooting down the drive, you really do look like you’re in the midst of a fabulous forest. Also, down the drive is Hilltop’s swing. A fun addition to the day and an entertaining shot to add to your photo collection.

The Parterre

The secret garden! Through a little passageway, you will find a hidden gem of a photo spot. The parterre with triangular manicured lawns and a stoned path leading to our pagoda.

The House

It goes without saying the 17th-century country house is one of the most magnificent backdrops at Hilltop. With terrace, balcony and covered in seasonal foliage, it really is impressive. Once a former farmhouse, Hilltop House stands proudly and bursts with character.

The venue with a view

Being on top of a hill means that we have great views from all around. The greatest of views at Hilltop has to be the never-ending fields that overlook Manchester in the far distance. Immerse yourself in the Cheshire countryside with our spectacular setting.

Stunning Sunset

After the most wonderful day, the sun sets over Hilltop, presenting the most breathtaking backdrop whilst also taking your wedding from day to night. The golden sunlight is warm and glowing for your wedding photos, creating contrast and adding a special mood to your wedding photos. Golden hour is the perfect time to sneak off for some romantic shots.
