Hilltop Country House wedding venue is sat within 15 acres of wonderful Cheshire countryside. Exclusively yours for your special day discover a 17th century house, marquee, accommodation and even a separate dance floor area. We are multi-award winning for our dedicated and caring service offered to all couples. Most recently we have won North West Wedding Venue and Event Team of the Year 2025.
A seasonal spectacle: From daffodils to wisteria
We’ll start from March, as we enter into the first day of spring, the yellow daffodils surround the venue and dance in the wind. The colours of these flowers bring warmth and happiness as we build our excitement for warmer days
April brings a splash of colour as the bluebells take over from the daffodils covering the grounds everywhere you look. In the neighbouring fields enter the most adorable lambs who will be there to meet and greet and entertain your guests.
How the gardens come alive in Spring
As we head into May the wisteria starts to bloom which eventually covers the house in the most breath-taking purple flowers. The cherry blossom covers the top lawn giving the effect that an incredible pink confetti shot just took place. From this time onwards the gardens come to life with florals, greenery and wildlife. Hilltop Country House is an abundance of multi-coloured nature, so full and magical.
The nights get lighter and the sunsets just get better and better. Your guests can enjoy the gardens for that little longer in the evening and our outdoor chill out area is the perfect setting with plenty of seating, heated umbrellas, gas heaters, blankets and even an outdoor bar with pizza oven.
The Hilltop gardening team work all year round to ensure the gardens are immaculate and pristine no matter the season. Their efforts are not only to provide the most incredible backdrop for your wedding day but to also preserve nature, the habitats for animals and to put back into the eco-system by planting new trees, flowers and building bug hotels!
Outdoor ceremony spots that take your breath away.
We have four beautiful ceremony areas, two indoors and two outdoors. When the days are cooler, the ceremony room within the country house bursts with charm and the marquee has an elegant, bridal feel; both have views of our rural surroundings.
But when spring is here, so are outdoor ceremonies. At Hilltop, you can marry on the terrace with an aisle stretching through the gardens or on the top lawn with flowers bordering the edges; the country house stands proudly as your backdrop.
