Nadine and Adam’s Dream Woodland Wedding at Hilltop Country House

A bride and groom walking hand-in-hand down stone steps at Hilltop Country House, a picturesque Cheshire wedding venue. The bride is wearing an elegant white lace wedding dress, holding a bouquet of flowers, and smiling at the groom. The groom is dressed in a classic black tuxedo and also smiling warmly at the bride. In the background, guests are seated and the venue's charming ivy-covered building with flowering vines is visible under a clear blue sky. The scene exudes joy and the beauty of an outdoor wedding.

Hilltop Country House Cheshire wedding venue… situated in 15 acres of formal gardens, fields, and woodland. As you enter through our tree-lined drive, you are surrounded by wooded areas filled with trees and flowers for all seasons. So, when thinking of your wedding theme, why not bring the outdoors in with a woodland theme?

Nadine and Adam married with us on a sunny Saturday in May. When their eyes were set upon Hilltop Country House, two people who had never envisaged getting married knew they’d found their dream wedding venue in Cheshire. The only decision Nadine had made instantly about the wedding was that there was to be a woodland theme to tie in with their married name. Fox and Hilltop was the perfect place to bring their ideas to life.

“Hilltop ticked every box, and more” – Nadine & Adam.

To help Nadine and Adam bring the beautiful woodland into Hilltop, they recruited wedding stylist Amy from Ink & Alder who really made their visions into a seamless reality. They used lots of forest green, assorted wood with brass and white accents… and obviously, a sneaky fox had to appear here and there. They opted for our dark wooden straight tables for a more rustic and outdoor feel and made a statement out of the wedding cake with a framed backdrop and hanging neon sign.

Nadine spent a long morning getting ready with her bridesmaids and pink champagne… of course, whilst Adam and his groomsmen enjoyed the morning in our local village with a beer in hand.

The bride, seated in the front, is wearing a silky white robe and is opening a bottle of champagne. She is smiling and looking down at the bottle. Behind her, her bridesmaids, also dressed in matching silky robes, are seated on the bench and smiling towards the camera. The room has a modern and elegant feel, with soft lighting and pampas grass decor in the background, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere as they prepare for the wedding.

“We had a sun-drenched ceremony on the terrace which went without a single hitch, thanks to the Hilltop team” – Nadine & Adam

Their colour scheme was gorgeous greens and whites. Nadine in an elegant dress, her bridesmaids in sage green and Adam and all his boys in classic tuxedos. Following their personal wedding ceremony conducted by celebrant Emma Parker, Nadine and Adam’s outdoor wedding reception was filled with beers, Pimm’s and canapes! For their wedding breakfast menu, they chose smoked haddock fishcakes with sweet chilli followed by garlic, lemon and thyme roasted chicken and a milk chocolate and honeycomb truffle torte. Adam planned a surprise for Nadine on the day with Amy from Ink and Alder creating a customised leather jacket, that was cleverly hidden in the bridal suite to wear in the evening and to be a keepsake. Just before Nadine, Adam, and all of their guests spent the evening celebrating, they took a moment to get some amazing group shots with flares.

Nadine has truly caught the ‘wedding bug’. With the magic of Hilltop as inspiration and her newly formed friendship with Amy she is now part of the team at Ink & Alder as a stylist, helping other brides and grooms bring the vision for their perfect day to reality. We are so excited that we’ll be getting to see Nadine very often and cannot wait to work on many more weddings with her and Amy.

“Whatever the weather, the warmest of welcomes is always provided to past and future couples at Hilltop and I can’t wait to be back at Cheshire’s most beautiful venue now as a supplier, instead of a bride but still with a champagne to hand in the garden.” – Nadine
